(Should probably add that his version of he M!A will be: If he gets near tantei-kun, his phone’s battery is gone. Even if he doesn’t have the phone with him (since that wasn’t specified). It can be charged back, but that doesn’t help much if he needs it soon after a happenstance involving the chibi.)

get a huge urge

to RP Kaito Lupin whenever I read that oneshot.

I can’t, because I already do a bad job keeping up with the two muses I have, and he’d be even stranger to try and get into the RP fandom as his own person in some ways… Since he’d more likely just be taken for an AU Kaito, even if Lupin came first… He essentially is Kaito, just… think about it.

He’d be a slightly more normal character, granted. He’s not a professional and international thief, nor was his father, despite his name being a double hit for ‘thief’. He causes problems at school and steals test scores, but not overly a criminal like his more well-known successor. Still a magician, still far too skilled and bright for his age, but… no Kid.

Lupin is a Kaito that never became Kid. Technically, we never even hear anything about his parents, so they could still be alive. And you actually see Aoko’s mom.

…I half want this, or that we at least get a possible special for it at some point, like they did with some of Gosho’s other short stories… Unlikely to happen, as Magic Kaito has overshadowed it’s precursor, but I can dream. An MK anime was a dream up until a few years ago, so… I can at least hope for a special. (Pft. Since the first MK special was ‘The Secret Birth of Kaitou Kid’, it could be considered, the real secret birth of Kaitou Kid.)

How many of the new MK fans from the anime side are gonna know about the first Kaito, hmm….)

(So… I now have two computers. Hmm… I’ll probably use the new one for lurking on Tumblrs and using internet and chats and such, and the old one for AMV work and other things that would get help from not having a lot going on. Still need to move icons between the two, though. And other stuffs.)

(…I have the burning need to do something. An idea I had a year ago. At least, I think it was just a year, maybe longer. But jeez would it take forever. I half want to do it before the end of the year, so I can put it up for the DC anime’s 20th anniversary as it comes up, but it’d seriously take months to do with how much I can get done in a day… And it requires animating, which I honestly have no idea to do either. A lot of animating. Drawing pictures is fine, making amvs is also fine, but… Gah! It’d be so cool though…)

(Icon status update: Finished going though all MK chapters for screenshots. Not sure how many I’ll drop for having the same expression (since that’s more noticeable in manga than anime, but at the same time, having some variance for the same expression is nice), but there’s about 1,900, give or take. Mostly take. And some from the really bad quality chapters will need a lot of work.)

(And this will probably always be one of my favourites, rarely as Kid shows anger.)

So I guess I’m not doing a giveaway anymore. I apologize to the people who were looking forward to it.  Someone reported my post. I do hope it makes whoever reported it feels warm and fuzzy that you ‘got your vengeance.’  But, in truth, you’re not punishing me, you’re punishing the 422 people who choose to follow me for my art. It wasn’t something I was doing to ‘get more followers’ or ‘get a bunch of notes’. It was a thank you to the people who support my art. I have never been one of the artists in this community that gets a lot of notes on my art or had fanboys. I have slowly but surely gained followers. And because of that, I appreciate all of you. 

As I am now aware that giveaways are against the ToS, (I’m pretty sure it wasn’t when I signed up for tumblr however many years ago, but I digress) I won’t be doing another one. I will however continue to post my art and do commissions. I apologize again to all of my followers, but this is out of my hands. I’m so sorry guys.

Guess I won’t be planning on doing anymore of these, myself. Unfortunate, considering a vast number of artists on this site actually do use things like giveaways to increase their follower base, which in turn helps promote their work and potential commissions.

Update: 

Okay, so looking over Tumblr’s guidelines for contests, sweepstakes, and giveaways, these are some important points to follow in order to “legally” maintain an event:

  • Disclose all rules for your event, including entry methods, prizes, etc,
  • Formally release Tumblr of any association/accountability/liability when it comes to your event,
  • Entrants must be 18+,
  • Participants must reside in the event’s country of origin.

MOST IMPORTANT since most tumblr art giveaways tend operate this way, and are most likely what gets Tumblr officials’ attention: 

  • Entries cannot be made or considered via follows, likes, and/or reblogs. 
    • A possible method around this is to create and link to something like a GoogleDocs form. There, people can formally enter their information, and have those entries collate into a private spreadsheet of yours. From there, you can carry out your selection process for winners.

The DC stuff I actually managed to find at A-Kon this year~ Granted, my first experience at A-Kon two years ago was probably the worser one I could have in finding everything, since it was fairly poorly organised from being at a new location and I was lost and confused half the time and other things, but this one was much better. Had a group to go with who cosplayed various other anime characters that I hung around most of the time, instead of wandering by myself, and actually managed to find some things like the above in the dealer’s room, knew the place a lot better than the first time, and had a great time~

(Welp, I’m back from the con. Gotta say, there were some amazing cosplays there, though I’m not the best at pulling my camera out and asking for pictures. More just the silent admirer or will say they look great. Got quite a few people asking for my picture, which is awesome~ One even said they knew Kaito from his manga~ And I saw about three other Kids and a Shinichi (who’d been one of those Kids the first day). Very nice to see any of them at all~

…Much better than being mistaken for Mephisto, some random character I didn’t know, Moriarty from Sherlock Hound, and… *sighs and shakes head* ……Excalibur… (x11)

Found some DC stuff too, which I’ll post a picture or two separately in a bit. But first…. might want to try catching up on dashes. Mostly the personal, since I was looking in from Spider’s account every so often, but nothing from that one.)
