[So, went to the library, checked out manga, and then watched The Book of Life with my parents. ‘Twas nice. I’ll get one post out for icons, for Kaito in the school uniform. There’s way too many to put everything all together, and I like grouping by outfits because it makes things easier to find really, so other posts will be Kid, and then other. Other being the white shirt, random clothes, police disguises and such.

…Also, I get the random thoughts to make a Pokemon verse for Kai, but the thing is, most of my Pokeverses have the characters as Pokemon, not trainers or anything. I mean, I probably could, but my main idea would be that Kaito’s a Zorua. Still a Kaito, and his disguising illusion for human form would look the same, and he’s been around them long enough to pass off as one. For that kind of verse to still have Kid, though, only thing would be that Toichi was his trainer, and he knew about everything and carries the job out even after his death…]

[I wanted to put up some of my icons from 1412. Like, 10-13 of both Kaito and Kid where I could from all the episodes or something…

(…Welp. Spider’s annoyed, and Kai’s cuddling everyone and getting in trouble. …They both want to stay up at this point, but… sleep takes priority. Also, someone seriously needs to risk it and pet the assassin. Aside from Kari. Because he’ll be annoyed up ‘til the point it feeling nice takes over.)

((How’d you get justice for Byakko? I think I could see those for the Gosho Boys. I’ve been trying to match up 1 of them to my character and I first thought maybe my character could be Genbu or Suzaku but he could also be Byakko too.))

(Ah… I’m not quite sure I remember? I’ve read… three or four manga where the four are heavily involved with the story. Maybe more… I’ve read way too much too keep track of. (…And Ironically, none of them were Fushigi Yuugi, which I know has it involved in some way…) So I just have a general idea of them, nothing specific, and justice was one that stuck with Byakko to me. Like I’ve been saying, some of it depends on interpretation. Because just looking them up doesn’t actually give much…)

(Well, that and Suzaku also tends to be represented by a phoenix, due to it’s association with fire. I’d say Kid certainly rose from the ashes…

As for why Byakko, well, the colour white, first and foremost. I like the association with metal more than fire, for someone like Kaito, and I also like the season of fall for him over summer. Byakko also more closely represents justice, or at least, fighting to protect, while I picture Suzaku as more the impartial and knowledge seeking type. Neither fit perfectly, but arguments could be made for both. Honestly, I was going with Suzaku between that and Genbu, but I personally think he does fall in a line somewhere between Suzaku and Byakko. Of course, if you were matching up people like the Gosho Boys or such, Kaito would probably be pushed back to Suzaku while Heiji get’s Byakko, and he’d suit it better, but Kaito is far from strictly Suzaku. (And then I put Shinichi as Genbu and Hakuba as Seiryu.))

(I mentioned a weasel in with ermine and ferret. ^^; It works a lot better, though. Again, it’s more my associations as to why I don’t put it with Kaito myself. If I had to say why… well, without giving an example, they don’t feel as innocent? Not to say weasels are evil, or that Kaito is pure in many ways, but… Hmm. Even just trying to think of it, I associate weasel more with Spider than Kaito. Something about it doesn’t click completely with me.)

(…Well, if you just mean a thief in general, then yeah, the Black Tortoise would probably fit better. But it’s not like that’s the best question to ask, since you could literally have any of the four beasts represent a thief. Kid himself would probably be Suzaku more, or even arguably Byakko. So… I depends on the type of person, really. Occupation doesn’t entirely matter.)
