(Ahh… the hard thing about being bogged down in going through amvs (other than, you know, distracted from writing) is that technically only half of the ones I’ve made are DC/MK (mostly MK).
…And then the other half is Professor Layton + Rhythm Thief, which while I can post them on my personal without minding too much, they don’t get as much attention as MK here. :V )
(Ah, yeah. I don’t know if it has a special name, but it was something that came with a torrent I had that gave eps 1-647, the OVAs, movies (through 15), and specials in chinese soft subbed. When I looked through the specials, it had the pre releases from the movies, and the movie 10 one is one that’s not seen in a lot of places.
Made a gifset from part of it before (and this), though I can add a few pictures as well. It does the same as other pre-releases, goes over parts of the series that would be nice to know for the movie, and this one was set up like an awards show, with Conan and the woman hosting (I don’t quite know names, but I’ll put her introduction in for people who do recognise, apologies on my part), the other characters in the audience, and Kid had sent a notice that he would pop up.)
(They have contests like: Which character is better, or FBI vs Black org. And a who’s the better detective to tie in with t he 10th movie, with Conan, Kogoro, Heiji, and (Ha) Hakuba being the options.)
(Kid does, of course, pop up, cause a little trouble for Conan, though a little revenge is gotten in return… But not going to do everything for that, even if I have some icon gifs from this.)
(…Not immediately in that order, the first was from a bit before Kid showed up but yesh. Maybe more of a 10 anniversary, though a lot was still promoting movie 10.)

(I did that for the musing after an actual musing blog reblogged it. This I don’t mind, since I don’t see too many people reblogging it for an extended time. Just didn’t expect that to get almost 200 notes in the span of not quite a day. (Says it still has a few hours until then.)
Plus I enjoy looking at the tags when they pop up, so a day or two of mass of activity, I can handle. Mostly since I still haven’t been active enough yet to need it to tell me when people reblog something I need to reply to yet. ^^; )

(That last gif demanded this. But on the note, have to wonder if Hakuba’s ever been to one of Kaito’s ‘heists’ where he really doesn’t do anything. Green Dream is especially coming to mind as Kid accomplishing something, just not exactly what everyone expected. Or, you know. Ryoma or that baseball incident. I’d love to know Hakuba’s thoughts on ones like those, even if he gets that Kaito isn’t a bad thief.)

When I started shipping it: I don’t even know… At least three years ago, when I started getting more into fanfiction. Tried avoiding the non-canons for a while, but ha, that lasted so long… Most of the pairings I ship I was influenced by fics, people clearly need to keep stop writing them so well.
My thoughts: The loneliest pairing, really. Both are so full of secrets and have secret identities, ones they can’t tell the people they’re normally around, and have a hard time connecting to people anyway in their various ways. So, does feel the kind of ‘lonely together’.
What makes me happy about them: Their personalities working within the relationship keep them up and better emotionally, and their friends usually bring them the rest of the way. IDK, it just always makes me happy to think about.
What makes me sad about them: The difficulties the ship usually has in getting started, in getting enough trust between the two to allow them to drop guards. Also the fact that, even if Shinichi being back does normally mean the org is stopped, Kaito almost always is still Kid and the difficulties/possible threats with that, given Kaito’s protective side.
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Hmmm… Maybe not directly KaiShin, but when people really are okay with sex between Kid and Conan. Honestly, I’m fine with KidCon. But not sexually, not until he’s far older, sad as it may be in other ways if he’s allowed to age like that. ‘Mind is what’s important’, all fine and well, but do you not get why that’s more messed up than just how they see each other? Implying Kaito’s fine doing that with someone smaller, Conan’s body is able to handle it in the slightest, and that any of that would be okay outside of how they think? (Mini rant, basically I like how one person wrote the pairings, KidCon being general fun and fluff, KaiShin being the same but also with the more serious stuff. And keeping both universes separate.)
Things I look for in fanfic: Eh… nothing too specific unless it treads on nope territory. Keep mostly in character, at least, don’t do the above peeve, other than that, I’m not the pickiest of fic readers, really. Too many genres I enjoy and fine with no ultimate plot. …And I binged read a ton in a year, just to say.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Canon’s always nice, HakuKai and HeiShin for guilt-ish. Ish because the girls work well with each other too, so…
My happily ever after for them: Both orgs down, peaceful, active life with friends, Kaito’s not up for arrest when his ultimate work was taking down those after Pandora (and if Kid appears, it being generally agreed upon something corrupt’s happening, and more going through paces than anything serious anymore).Adopting kids.
Who is the big spoon/little spoon: Well, with mine, depends on the Shin. Kai generally prefers being the little spoon, though with Shin, he’s also fine the other way. So.. Depends on the interpretations of both, really.
What is their favorite non-sexual activity: Kaito likes cuddles, all the time. Shinichi’s okay with it, though he’d probably prefer them while doing something like reading. Or maybe for him, Kaito hugging him from behind while he looks over papers. Closeness and productivity, while Kaito’s pouting because really meitantei…
