Gee, she wondered why that could be.
Huffing through her nose, she turned her eyes away and tried to ignore the fact that he had moved in to cuddle. She didn’t mind, not even a little bit, but she didn’t want to make that obvious. Besides, there wasn’t a doubt in her mind that he was only being cute because he wanted something.
Turning her head back to glance at him, her cheeks became red as she bashfully buried her nose into his short hair.
”That’s sweet an’ all, but ya ain’t gettin’ any more of m’ candy.”
[x]
The magician just laughed some, grin on his face and arms wrapped around her more from the side from the side than anywhere as he rested his head on her shoulder. He wouldn’t say the thought hadn’t crossed his mind that there were likely ways to win her favour to gain access to her stash, but that hadn’t quite been his intention for the hugging.

“Nice as candy would be, I don’t recall anyone saying that cuddles would get me any sweets. Not everything has to have an ulterior motive, you know.~”
Though, honestly, yes, this one did. It just didn’t have to do with the candy.
She froze under the kiss, face flaring and eyes widening. What a tease. Oh, but he was such a cute tease!
”Did’ja really have t’ go through all those questions just t’ tell me I had permission t’ kiss ya again?” She muttered with a tiny smile.
Really, he’d just been gauging if she’d actually been interested in the idea, rather than only doing it because someone told her too. Sure, how she reacted told him plenty, but…

“Wasn’t it more fun that way?” the magician asked, falling back into the small game of exchanging questions.
He’s going to wiggle an answer out of her eventually, so she might as well give up. Shrugging her shoulders, she mumbled a very quiet ‘yes.’
Kaito grinned and leaned in to kiss her forehead before she could react.

“Well then, consider yourself having an open invitation.~”
”Would you be grossed out if I wasn’t doing it because it was a dare?” Answering questions with more questions. She’s only trying to save herself from more embarrassment, but it doesn’t seem to be working.
Hmm…

“Would you do it without a dare if I said no?”
She mumbled and shoved his shoulder lightly, “Quit lookin’ at me like that!”
Madison huffed and crossed her arms tightly over her chest before turning her head away from him. It would have been nice to leave the question hanging, but — either way — she was still going to remain embarrassed.
”Would ya care if I did it?”
Kaito chuckled a bit at the small push, but he did lean back. At the return question, he blinked again and scratched his cheek some.

“…Depends. Would you only be doing it because it was a dare?”
She continued to hide behind her hands, face growing redder. Her shoulders slid up, eyes turning away from the one teasing her.
”Not like ya would…” She argued, avoiding the question entirely.
A smirk.

“I wouldn’t? Are you sure about that? Because that wasn’t really an answer…”
And he was a few seconds away from actually voicing the dare, since she seemed to not want to give the answer and her reactions were cute.
She was a little more open with her squeaking, hands moving to cover her lips. “A dare! Just a dare. That’s all.”
Now that he’d mostly recovered from the surprise of the kiss, Kaito couldn’t help but tease now.

“Oh?” He leaned in. “And what if I were to dare you to do it again?”
The magician made a surprised noise, which he was not going to admit may have been more of a squeak than anything else, at suddenly being pulled, and his eyes widened when their lips touched. And it took him a few moments to pull away, cheeks slightly flushed.

“Umm… There a reason for that?”
Not that he was complaining much. Kaito wondered at the sudden action, but he didn’t really mind it.
Madison mirrored his moves, but leaned forward and took the card between her fingers. She let out a long sigh and gave it another read before nodding, a smile slowly making its way across her face. It wasn’t like her to want to take part in things like this, but it sounded harmless now that they had talked it over.
Teasing the corner of the card, she gave the brunette across from her an anxious giggle.
”Y‘know, this sounds like it might be kinda fun. I wanna help.”
The magician watched her carefully, trying to hide his anticipation at waiting for her response. At her nod and smile, the grin spread wider and he lifted his head, arm falling to lay across the table.

“Thanks! Nice to know I won’t be there by myself. So…” he turned his eye’s upwards slightly and tilted his head, “The plan so far is… I’ll tell Nakamouri-keibu about the ‘heist’ and send the fake notice. They should be able to tell your brother, but they’ll likely treat it like a real heist response, else people might get suspicious or Kid might not even come. I’ll be the ‘thief’ Kid has to stop, and you’ll see if you notice him at some point, just in case I can’t get the note to him for any reason. I can come up with how I’ll ‘steal’ the necklace myself, so there’s just one thing left.”
Kaito looked back at her and leaned over the table some.
“What date should we aim for?”
