-drops by to see the kitten its probably gotten bigger now-

Hmm? As he recalls, said kitten was left to him without word of who left it, and he hasn’t exactly gone around mentioning that he has one. So don’t mind him if the magician hums to himself as he lets Enzio in to see the growing feline, who might be looking in curiously from around the corner.

“I named him Apollo. He’s been pretty friendly, if a little cautious of things he hasn’t seen before.”

-lays on-

Kaito blinked at the sudden new weight on his back, a small sound of surprise escaping him before he turned his head to look at Enzio. Sure, he’d been laying down himself, but it was more than a little unexpected for the other to do the same on top of him.

“Hmm… When exactly did I turn into a bed?” There’s no real seriousness in the question. He really doesn’t mind the action and it’s mostly a tease, even if there might be a touch of actual inquisitiveness.

“Kaito you mentioned your mom once before. What is she like?”

“Did I?”

The
magician tilted his head a bit. Hmm… well, it wouldn’t be surprising
if he had without thinking. Even if it might have been a passing comment
on her traveling at the moment and leaving him to the house, since that wasn’t exactly normal.

“Well…”
A small laugh. “I honestly think I got my energy from her, for sure.
She’s very bright, in most senses of the word. Though, as with most
moms, you still don’t want to see her angry. She can be… more than a
little scary.“

A sigh left him as Kaito rested a cheek on a hand.

“And
I know she’s traveling for a good reason, and she could be here anytime
if I said I needed her, but I don’t think it’d kill her to visit
without doing weird things to try and ‘help’ me. Jeez… her ideas of
how to get what she wants done… Something tells me she doesn’t think
them through sometimes. Like, more than once, she’s tried to deal with a
phobia by putting it in my face… And come to think of it, her sense
of humour isn’t the best for most people… She means well, I think,
but…” Sigh.

“She’s nice, though. And she does call a lot, so
it’s not like she completely leaves me alone. A bit eccentric, but she’s
still a mom.”
