As soon as he caught sight of her, a surge of fear shot through him. Their last meeting hadn’t exactly gone well, and what she had just said definitely wasn’t doing anything to abate his nervousness.
She can’t possibly know, though. If she did…. I probably wouldn’t even be able to stand right now.
The magician put on his best poker face to answer her, tilting his head and giving a confused smile.
“Umm…. Okay? It’s true that I’m Kuroba Kaito….. but, I’m not sure why you’re telling me this.”
“ah… i guess you really dont know.." sera was slightly frustrated and a little embarrassed. she could tell that this person was getting annoyed with her, and she didnt doubt that he was probably innocent. but she couldnt shake the feeling that she had seen his face before.
she figured, though, that even if he had done something in the past, he wasnt about to tell her. if he was lying, then he was really good at it.
"tell him that next time, you’ll aim for his family jewels.. thats what the damn grey face said but.. why him? why kuroba kaito?… tell kuroba Kaito, aim for family jewels…Kuroba Kaito… family Jewels… wait.."
"Kaito… Jewels.."
"n..no.. it cant be… can it?” sera tensed up slightly, her hands tightening into fists. she tried getting every gut feeling away from the fact that it could possibly be that person. it couldnt be that easy. even the thought made her slightly angry. she wanted to say something. but there was no possible way she could be sure it was him, so what could she say? she stayed silent.
The magician watched her for a moment, noting the tensing, then sighed. He still wasn’t sure why she’d suddenly come and started interrogating him, but he knew he shouldn’t leave like this. Not if he didn’t want yet another person suspicious of him….
He let the irritated expression fall away and lightly crossed his arms.

“That’s what I’ve been saying this whole time. Now, if the warning was all you wanted to give me, I should probably be going now. But first…”
Kaito leaned forward some and grinned, looking the other right in the eye and hoping the fist she now had wouldn’t be aimed at him for the sudden action.
“Since you obviously know my name, I think it’s only fair to learn yours. Mind introducing yourself?”
