She takes one of the roses looking at them. After a short while she sniffes at it.
“They are pretty, but your roses are smelling much better.” she said chuckling.
He took a bite of his cake before reaching over to pick up the other rose.
“That’s probably because these aren’t real. They’re really well made, but the roses here are made of ribbon. I guess they also added a scent to them.” He twirled it a bit before setting it back down.
“Makes sense, I guess. Ribbon roses don’t cost as much or need as much upkeep. Actually…”
Kaito paused to take another bite, knocking the strawberry off onto the plate and playing around with it a bit using his fork.
“The one I gave you when we met was made of ribbon, I think.”
