“Hmm…. If I’m not mistaken, you’re Arsène Lupin III, correct? I thank you for not giving away my identity, though I am curious as to how you came to find it.”
Not that it surprised him. It was hard not to hear about the famous thief, and the stories just told him that nothing was really impossible for the other.
“I’ll happily accept a challenge, though I admit, I’m not sure my own skills are quite on par with your own. It would be fun to try, nevertheless.”
“Right you are though I’m not surprised you’ve heard of me. I mean who hasn’t? And since you know who I am then you likely know that I always do my homework.” he replied then chuckled.
He had heard a lot about Kaitou Kid and did a good amount of research which lead to him fitting the pieces together. He wasn’t just a thief, he was in his own way a detective too.
He chuckled more at Kaitou’s reply to his challenge. “Well I’m flattered that you see me being above you. Not many thieves are like that. You’re defiantly a notch above them and this makes me more glad that I decided to have you as my rival.” he stated.
“Now then since this is basically your home turf I’ll allow you to do the honors and decided what we go after and when. Best to prepare ourselves on this right?”
“You do have quite the reputation. And as you’re much more of a veteran thief, I’m honoured you think so highly of me.”
Kid paused for a moment as he went through a mental list of possible targets. He didn’t know if the other knew about why he was a thief, but he didn’t really want to get someone involved in that either way. So it’d have to be something on the smaller side…
“How about… the ruby being displayed at the Haido City museum? Crimson Soul? It just arrived a few days ago, and I’ve been interested for a while beforehand. As for a time… a week, perhaps? Midnight? To allow those will try catching us to prepare.”
