“Well, what do expect from Professor Layton’s apprentice?”
He boasted, folding his arms and cocking a brow.

“First time in London, ay?
Well, I could show you around, if you’d like!
I still have some spare time before I go to meet
               the professor in his office.”

Professor Layton? Where had he… Oh, right…

"When you say Professor Layton, I don’t suppose you mean the archaeologist? I heard he helped discover quite a few things that are on display.”

He paused for a moment. It might not be a bad idea to stay with Layton’s apprentice for the moment. The boy might know about some things that the general public wouldn’t be aware of yet, which might help with his job.

“If you’re sure it’s not too much trouble, I’d be glad for a bit of a tour. Name’s Kaito, by the way.”

“Oh, intuition, I suppose!”
He grinned, rubbing the back of his head.

"Although, I did notice the pamphlet you
were holding.”

Intuition, huh? Considering no one usually noticed him when he scouted out a potential heist location, Kaito wouldn’t be surprised if a bit of that had come into play.

He closed the notepad and put it in his pocket.

"Well, well. You’re quite observant aren’t you?”

Kaito looked in the direction of the museum.

“I actually do have directions, but… they don’t really help if they can’t be read. Doesn’t help that this is my first time in London, either.”

“   If you’re looking for the museum,
It’s down another street or two.

You’re not too far off, though!”

Kaito glanced away from the notepad in his hand to look at the boy who had suddenly addressed him. It was true that he’d been looking for the museum, but…

"Ah, thank you. How did you know that that’s where I was going?”
