moonlight-tantei:

“Oh, this?”
He was getting used to that treatment, seeing that almost all of his alternates asked him the same thing.
He was starting to get the pattern— and judging on experience, he was the only one that was a detective…
“Sadly, I’m not a thief like you.”
He chuckled softly, tone rather sweet.
“I’m actually a detective…”

“Oh… Yeah, that would explain it…”

…Well, along with possible physical appearances, he should have taken careers into account, it seemed. That’s… interesting. Kid couldn’t even bring himself to be concerned even, at least, in relation to the opposite jobs. His double acted aware of his not-quite-in-line-with-the-law job, hadn’t really done anything… And it’d be more than a little difficult to essentially arrest oneself if wanted anyway.

So the thief simply drew his hand back to slip it into his pocket, tilting his head a touch in curiosity.

“So… how did that happen?”

patientxpetals:

A rub of her chin and a hum – yes, she’s
seriously considering what sort of flower
would look good in his hair. “Maybe
somethin’ small an’ blue t’ match yer
eyes. Or somethin’ colorful, like confetti.”

Oops. Seemed like he’d gotten her caught on something. Not that he minded the idea of things like flowers in his hair, but the magician hadn’t quite thought she’d be serious in trying to figure out what’d suit him.

“Well, you can try and choose a colour. But nothing too small. It wouldn’t be too fun to try and pick things out if they get tangled.”

Kaito grinned, expression brightening the moment his eyes landed on his whiteclad counterpart and he wasted no time in approaching him, steps swift and light. He reached up, hands cupping the thief’s cheeks and, without so much as a word of explanation, he leaned in, lips brushing against lips in a brief, soft kiss. ” … A dare,” was the first thing out of Kaito’s mouth after, eyes gaining a sheepish and just a bit embarrassed tint.

The thief had been surprised enough to see the magician come up in the first place, since he was usually the one to start bugging the other. A grin broke out and he was about to greet him when hands were suddenly on his cheeks and he found himself caught in a kiss. Might not have lasted long, but it was enough to make him turn pink as well. He’d kissed the magician before but, well… lips was new.

And he wasn’t to get used to receiving affection as much as he liked to give it out.

“A-ah… I see… And here I thought you just had a new way of saying hi.”

A pause, and the grin returned.

“You know, you don’t need a dare if you ever want to do it again, magician-san.~”
