The thief looked up, eyes narrowed as he quickly moved his arms to make a couple of doves appear. They lighted upon the children’s shoulders and cooed to show that they were ready to help. Even he wasn’t sure how to break the hypnosis, the birds could either try and distract the kids or fly and get help. He allowed a small smile, before it vanished as he turned back to face the man, stepping inside the house and latching the door behind him.

“I’ll have to disagree on the leaving part, hypnotist-san.”
