Hakuba stared up at Kuroba the entire time, swallowing and frightened. He’d opened himself up, completely shattered all of his defenses, leaving him raw; what if he was rejected? How many times had he pushed the other away? How many times had he told him off? How many times did he tell the other he wasn’t interested? It would be his own fault if the other said no, he’d have no one to blame but himself. Kuroba had opened up to him a long time ago, and he’s rejected him at every turn; Why should he do the same? When his wrist was released, his heart started to pound in his chest, and he watched, waiting with baited breath. Then came the smile, soft but there. Hakuba made a soft sound as the other nodded, the soft chime of the bell bringing tears to his eyes. He gently brushed his cheeks, trying to tell him how much this meant to him, without saying it out loud, scared his own words would ruin the moment.
He brushed his thumb against Kuroba’s bottom lip one more, shivering before gently, and slowly, pushing his thumb inside, allowing Kuroba to set the pace. Once inside he pressed the pad of his thumb against his tongue and he sucked in a breath, letting it out in a soft, low whine.
He let the thumb slide past his lips, opening his mouth slightly. When it made contact with his tongue, he waited for a second to see if Hakuba was doing anything else before he began to work, moving his tongue out from under the digit to let it go over the other’s skin. The magician wasn’t too focused on the task, though.
He was watching the detective. Now that he was less focused on stopping Hakuba, he was beginning to realise he’d never actually seen the detective so… well, emotional. Yelling, crying, pleading… Giving how he honestly felt. Hakuba may not normally lie, per se, but if he kept all of his emotions pent up inside him all the time… it was no wonder he couldn’t hold it back anymore when faced with a rush of even more of them. Not that he was one to talk about keeping things hidden, even if the other knew a part of the biggest one he had…
He continued for a minute or so before reaching the hand back up to the other’s wrist again, this time pulling it gently away, sucking any excess saliva from the thumb before it left, eyes never leaving the other’s face. The fingers loosened and slid down until they rested underneath Hakuba’s palm, his thumb coming out from underneath to rub across the other’s fingers.

It didn’t take much observational skills to notice that Hakuba was wanting focus put on his hands, with the shuddering and the nice whine especially. But putting dry fingers into his mouth wasn’t the best way of doing this…
Kaito held his gaze a moment longer before turning his head down to kiss the back of the detective’s hand before gently running his tongue along the fingers, making sure to flick every now and again and get in between them.
