(I vote my Kai be referred to as comfort Kai. Because it’s what he likes giving best, especially hugs and cheering people up as best he can. Usually. When he’s not the one causing the trouble. Also, semi along that note… okay, maybe not really, but…)

Playing with expectations? Possibly. But while his counterpart… while Kaito was comfortable with him, the thief wasn’t completely privy to what troubled the other. Not that he ever pushed the magician by asking, either. Comfort, companionship, and, well, plenty of distraction, he could give… But they only went so far when he didn’t know what was wrong.

So, no, he’s not going to see Kaito just yet. Maybe later, but for now, he’d just sit, watching the other roof with his knee pulled up in front of him, hands, then head resting on top of it, expressionless. This still took experimenting. How are you supposed to help someone who was another you… when…

He shook his head, closing his eyes briefly before opening them to watch the other again. Just barely able to see. Didn’t leave any listening devices near there. Just a question.

Because how can one help themselves if they don’t know who they are to begin with?

(May I just say good job A-1 on this, because this is the face Kaito made after Phillip told them about the promise he made to his dad and how his mother acted towards him. Considering Kaito’s relationship with his own father, this face seems very appropriate.)

“Kendo gives me the break I need. ‘N that is probably less stressful then tryin ta chase ya down when a whole task force can’t catch ya. ” He stopped for a moment a wicked smirk crossing his face. It was time for some payback for that last comment.

“Why are ya so eager ta get me to come? I figured it would be easy ta say no. Never have been rejected have ya?”

“Hmm… I suppose I haven’t. Not that I usually ask either, though. Most just come. If anything I’ve been invited to act more than asking someone else if they’d attend one of my heists. I just thought it might be fun to have someone new join in. But I obviously can’t force you to if you’re really so against it. Wouldn’t make a difference any way.”
